SLATE can help you pay for training that will help you get job in occupations where employers need you most. If you're looking to advance your career, visit SLATE and talk to Employment and Training Advisor.

 To be able to obtain money for training you should:
  • Register with Missouri Career Centers system
  • Be interested in gaining skills to work in an industry with high employment potential in the St. Louis area
  • Be prepared to discuss your career goals with an Employment and Training Advisor and determine that training will help you get a job
  • Meet all training course prerequisites, including work experience and education

Your Employment and Training Advisor will contact your to let you know if your training assistance has been approved.

Missouri Training Providers

Click here to search for Training Providers approved to provide training through the Workforce Investment Act (WIA). You will be able to research programs and courses approved by the State for financial assistance.
