Online payment of License Renewals and Returns

Overview
Existing businesses can process online their Graduated Business License Renewal.
New businesses must contact the License Collector Office at 314-622-4528 to begin the process of obtaining a business license.
Preparation
- Locate the common document number (seven-digit AL number) on the top left corner of the renewal application you received from our office. You will need to have this information in order to proceed. (Example: AL1234567).
- Confirm that you will be completing one of the transactions below to file and make a payment:
- Convention and Tourism - Sleeping Room Sales Tax Return - (L416900)
- Graduated Business License Renewal - (L421408)
- Graduated Business License Renewal - Manufacturer - (L421447)
- Gross Receipts Tax Return - Public Garage/Parking Lots - (L421431)
- Hotel/Motel Sales Tax - Sleeping Room Sales tax Return - (L416901)
- Restaurant Gross Receipts Tax Return - (L416902)
Instructions
Start with the "Begin Online" button below to proceed to payment. You will be redirected to the PayIt payment portal. You will need your account number to proceed with payment.
- If you are a current PayIt user, log in.
- If not, sign up or "continue as guest."
Fees
- For credit card transactions, a 2.45% convenience fee is charged.
- For e-checks, a $1.95 convenience fee is charged.
