From the Office of the License Collector

On Monday, June 1, 2020, City Hall will reopen to the public. In accordance with this directive, the License Collector’s Office will expand its skeleton crew operations, and reopen to the public as well. This reopening includes important changes for patrons to be aware of.
 
In addition to patrons being required to wear a mask when entering City Hall, the License Collector’s Office will also require patrons to wear a mask while conducting business in our office. A staff member will greet patrons at the door, ascertain the nature of their visit, ask them to take a number and be seated until called. All of our stations have Plexiglas shields. Our waiting area will have only two (2) seats spaced six (6) ft apart for patrons. The remaining seats similarly spaced are in the hallway, for patrons to wait until called. Office staff are required to also wear masks and will sanitize seats and countertops after each use.
 
As all of us adjust to these new necessary precautions, we continue to encourage patrons to use our online services where you will be able to apply for a business license, renew a license, pay fees, and search for licensed businesses online.
