Requirements are as follows:
This vendor must be on private property, not on any public property (sidewalk, street, or park), and must be in a building or enclosed structure and for not more than three (3) consecutive days per license period.
Preparation
**YOU WILL NEED TO REGISTER WITH THE LICENSE COLLECTORS OFFICE BEFORE YOU CAN APPLY FOR YOU HEALTH PERMIT.**
Cost is $25.00 a day payment must be in cash, money order or cashier's check ONLY. This can only be issued for 3 consecutive days at a time.
Instructions
Before visiting City Hall to acquire your Itinerant Vendors' License, you must:

Step 2
Obtain Written permission from the owner of the property where the stand is to be located. This letter should be on company letterhead or a notarized letter from owner. Letter should also include the date(s) of the sale. All sales must be in a building or enclosed structure. Note: On the day you visit the License Collector's Office to complete your application for a Itinerant Vendor License you will need to:
A. Apply and pay for an Itinerant Vendor License. Your license will be issued after all the necessary requirements are met.
B. Obtain clearance from the Collector of Revenue

Step 3
Health Permit (if selling food)
**The health dept will require a copy of your paid receipt for a Itinerant Vendor License, before a health application can be taken.**
Cost: $50.00 per day, which must be paid with a business check or money order.

Step 4
If propane is being used in any way, you must obtain a Fire Permit
Cost is Twenty Dollars ($20.00).

After receiving all of the above required permits, you will need to return to the License Collectors’ Office for your license to be issued.
What to Expect
Once all clearances and payments are received, you will be able to obtain your license to do business in the City of St. Louis.
