Booths, Stalls, Stands

All non-permanent or transient businesses must meet the criteria of a Vehicle, Sidewalk, Itinerant, or Festival Vendor. If your business DOES NOT fall within this criteria, your business is PROHIBITED.




Cost: $75.00 per booth. Payment must be made by cash, money order, or cashier's check ONLY. 



Before visiting City Hall to acquire your Festival License, you must:

Step 1

Register with the State of Missouri for a State Sales Tax Number.   Please obtain this number before visiting City Hall.

If you are not selling a product, proceed to step 2.

Step 2

All cooking operations or any usage of PROPANE GAS are subject to Fire Marshal approval:

 Cost is Twenty Dollars ($20.00)

Step 3

Obtain a Liquor Permit if any liquor products are sold:

If food or other product is sold with liquor a $75.00 Festival License will be required along with catering license.

Step 4

A Tent or Air-supported structure may require a permit

Permit must be pulled by Licensed and Bonded Contractor

On the day you visit the License Collector's Office to complete your application for a Festival License you will need to:

A. Obtain a clearance from the Collector of Revenue’s office at the location below:

B. Letter from The Event Organizer of your participation in The Event.

C. Health Permit (if selling food)

**The health dept will require a copy of your paid receipt for a Itinerant Vendor License, before a health application can be taken.**

Cost: $50.00 per day, which must be paid with a business check or money order.

What to Expect

Once all clearances and payments are received, you will be able to obtain your license to do business in the City of St. Louis.

A separate Graduated Business License is required for each business location or trade name.

$200.00 Vendor's License (Street or Sidewalk) is NOT an accepted license.
