How to obtain a real estate tax receipt.

Duplicate real tax receipts are available online or in person at the Collector's of Revenue Office.

Online tax receipt maybe needed when preparing tax document to claim deductions. 


You will need:

  • the real estate/property address, or
  • the Collector of Revenue Account number or property parcel ID


In Person

Visit the Collector of Revenue's Office at:
1200 Market, Room 109
St. Louis, Mo 63103


  1. Search the Real Estate Tax Lookup And Print Receipt application
  2. Print receipt available for current or past two years.
  3. If taxes are due, click the pay online button next to the balance amount. You will be directed to the PayIt payment portal. You will need your Account Number to proceed with payment. 
    1. If you have signed up with PayIt before, log in.
    2. If not, sign up or "continue as guest."

There is no charge for receipts obtained in person or online.

What to Expect

Receive your Real Estate Tax Receipt for the year needed.

When paying a balance through PayIt:

  • signing up with PayIt will retain an history of your payment transactions.
  • when proceeding as guest in PayIt, print a receipt of your transaction.
